CANstruction
2011
Once again Turner Construction was the host for this year's CANstruction® benefiting Gleaners Food Bank at the 2011 Indiana State Fair! These exciting sculptures came to life and celebrated the "Year of the Soybean" and the theme "It's Incredible!" in the Ball State- Ag building.
The world’s most unique food drive
It starts with one can. To feed the hungry. To lift the spirit. To change the world.
It’s CANstruction®, the most unique food drive in the world—featuring structures created entirely of canned foods, each made to fit within a 10’x10’x8’ space.
The structures are designed and built by competing teams of Indiana architects, engineers, contractors, artists, designers and college students in related fields.
Great talent, great cause
Whose team can build the most spectacular structure using only cans of food? Indianapolis’ finest will strut their design and construction genius to find out!
Even better, all this talent is put to the test in order to make a difference.
More than 225,000 Hoosiers live in poverty within Gleaners Food Bank’s service area. CANstruction®, a charity committed to ending hunger, uses this competition to spotlight hunger—while showcasing the best and brightest of Indiana’s design and construction community.
