Feed Indy Update!
During the week of November 9th, Q95 teamed up with Marsh Supermarkets & Miller Lite to “Feed Indy” in support of Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. Q95 hosted donation locations at Marsh Supermarkets across central Indiana, including Noblesville, Brownsburg, Greenfield, Greenwood and Indianapolis. Listeners were encouraged to meet Q95 talent and staff at each location and to donate canned good and non-perishable items. Each afternoon Jimmy “Mad Dog” Matis broadcast live from the Marsh stores.
“Family budgets are stretched” says Tom Griswold of Q95’s Bob & Tom Show. “Families are struggling to make ends meet – more people than ever are reaching out asking for help in feeding their children. We’re encouraging the Q95 listeners to reach out and make a difference by helping someone else.”
On Tuesday, November 17th, WFBQ staff dropped off 7,802 pounds of food and $4,941.49 to the food bank! That’s the equivalent of 35,515 meals.
Thanks to Q95, Marsh, MillerLite, Monarch Beverage (Bryan, Matt, Elijah, Rod, Frank, & Greg), Runyon Equipment Rental, E3 Monster Truck Nationals, Indiana Blood Center, IBEW Local 481, Kids Voice, Morgan Lucas of Lucas Oil, Noble Romans in Noblesville, Cathedral High School, Roncalli High School, Goddard School, Marleita at Village Oaks, Mike’s Carwash, L.A.
