Helping Hoosiers Drive Down Hunger
We are teaming up with Lawrence Central High School’s Varsity Club and other various companies in the area to help drive down hunger in Indiana. All donated goods will be donated to Gleaners Food Bank.
- Beginning November 1st, 2009: Burd Ford will be holding a canned food drive called “Helping Hoosiers Drive Down Hunger,” to help drive down hunger in Indiana. All proceeds from the food drive will be donated to Gleaners Food Bank. Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana’s mission is to help charities feed people in need. They are the single most important source of food for most hunger relief charities in 21 Central Indiana counties. Since 1980, Gleaners has distributed over 230 million pounds of food critical grocery products and we want to help keep this number growing. We are teaming up with Lawrence Central High School’s Varsity Club and other various companies in the area to help drive down hunger in Indiana. All donated goods will be donated to Gleaners Food Bank.
- Bring in one canned food and test-drive any car or truck. For EVERY vehicle purchased during this program, Burd Ford will donate a full bag of groceries on the customer’s behalf to Gleaners Food Bank. Our goal is to fill up the entire bed and inside of our largest truck on the lot.
- Lawrence Central High School’s Varsity Club and other various companies in the area will also be teaming up with Burd Ford by holding their own canned food drives and donating their goods to Burd Ford.
