Local Manufacturer Continues to Find Ways to Give Back (Indianapolis, IN, January 11, 2010)
In what is quickly becoming an annual event, the employees of Indianapolis based Peerless Pump Company came together for the second year in a row to support Gleaners Food Bank. A friendly competition between departments inside the company led to the collection of more than 3,000 pounds of canned food, in addition to the $5,000 check they presented to Gleaners.
The entire Peerless team is very happy that we are again able to assist Gleaners, especially in a year with so many challenges for so many of our neighbors,” said Fred Bock, Peerless Vice President of Marketing. “The ‘we’ll get it done’ attitude of the team at Peerless is not just reserved for designing and building pumps, it just seems to come through in every challenge that presents itself,” Bock added. “Peerless is a great group of people, who really know how to have fun while at the same time supporting the community,” said Gleaners President Pam Altmeyer.
