I had a young man come to Cynthia H. Hubert Community Cupboard for the first time last Thursday. He was nervous and wanted to make sure he did everything right. He said he and his life partner have one child at home and 3 others who are there every other week. I told him I would put him down as having 6 in the household because he needed to have food for all the children. He said he has brought his Boy Scout Troop to Gleaners to volunteer many times before and he never thought he would be the one in line. When I showed him the food in the pantry, he broke down crying and saying this is all free? I told him we would be here for him and his family as long as they needed us.
