Thank you for joining us for the first annual Experience Gleaners event, hosted at Gleaners’ Warehouse which raised over $450,000! As a fun & interactive event guests learned first-hand about Gleaners’ mission to help food insecure Hoosiers. Hundreds of guests packed BackSacks for Kids, created 10-pound bags of food, helped sort & separate food items and explored the large 300,000 square foot warehouse. Once guests explored and experienced Gleaners, they were invited to sign Gleaners’ “Commitment Wall” to explain and demonstrate their commitment to Gleaners until the following year. All while eating great food, enjoying entertainment, and bidding on unique auction items all to benefit Gleaners Programs.
Money raised will help fund several children’s programs including school pantries and BackSacks: Weekend Food for Kids; our Senior Hunger Initiative helping those who are limited in mobility and resources; and our veterans who rely on mobile pantries and agency partners to make ends meet.
