You Have a Direct Impact on Children in Need
Gleaners has multiple direct service programs aimed at serving children in need. Summer Meals for Kids is in full swing, and shortly, preparation for the BackSacks: Weekend Food for Kids Program will begin.
Our vision: Food for Every Table. Hope for Every Future.
This vision is personified by these programs aimed at fighting childhood hunger. Learn more about the BackSacks: Weekend Food for Kids Program as well as our School-Based Pantry Program from a school that participates in both – SENSE Charter School.
There is a difference between a food bank and a food pantry. In its simplest form, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is the distribution center for local partners in its 21 county service area. Local partners receive food from Gleaners and Hoosiers in need receive their food directly from these local partners.
With your help, change is within reach
Gleaners plays a critical role in the fight against hunger, but we can not do it alone. Fighting hunger is not only about providing emergency food to those in need – it’s also about creating awareness about the hunger crisis, then taking action.
