Each month, we need around 1,800 volunteers on projects like our drive-thru food pantry, Gleaners 2 Go, and our warehouse. We welcome you to join our incredible crew of volunteers in 2024!

Volunteer Spotlight
Volunteer of the Month: Rosie Yarling
You might recognize our January Volunteer of the Month, Rosie. She’s been a friendly face in our food pantry since 2017. To date, Rosie has more than 1,200 hours of service.
Rosie started volunteering as a way to be a part of something bigger than herself, contributing to the community in a positive way. She loves working at registration because it’s a tangible and immediate way to make a positive impact on neighbors’ lives.
When she’s not at Gleaners, Rosie enjoys being a portrait photographer, a career she’s had for 27 years. Fun fact about Rosie: She worked on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, CA after high school!
Volunteer to Win Racing Memorabilia
Volunteering in January or February means a chance to enter a special giveaway. Volunteers will have the opportunity to win a shirt worn by pit crew members during past races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway — a great item to display in your race collection or wear to this year’s Indianapolis 500! If you’re lucky, there may even be some grease stains from those speedy pit stops.
Volunteer in January to win one of 17 shirts signed by Romain Grosjean from the 2022 Indy Grand Prix. Volunteer in February to win one of 12 shirts signed by Colton Herta from the 2020 Indy 500.
