The Giving Machine is coming to Indianapolis in 2023, and Gleaners is a charity partner.

Gleaners is proud to be a charity partner of the Giving Machine this year. The vending machines, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, conveniently give to local and international charities. Hoosiers can give to Gleaners, along with community partners Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis and Flanner House, through the machines.

Indianapolis is one of just 61 cities worldwide that will be home to the machines this holiday season. You can donate to Gleaners at the machines, located at Clay Terrace in Carmel and Newfields in Indy, through Jan. 7, 2024.

“This is a great opportunity for local and global charities to benefit in a most unique way,” said Light the World Indianapolis co-chair Paul Sinclair. “Hoosiers will be able to simply
walk up to the machine, slide their cards and make a purchase that will benefit a local or a global charity.”

Giving Machine visitors will be able to choose from five options to donate to Gleaners:

  • 15 dozen eggs ($10)
  • 80 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables ($25)
  • 2 home delivery boxes ($40)
  • 500 pounds of food ($75)
  • 8 months of meals for families ($300)

As always, those wishing to give to Gleaners during the holiday season can go to gleaners.org/donate. Gleaners can provide up to eight meals for every $1 donated.
